Reflecting on the early years with FCA, I remember the cloud of self-doubt, fear, and insecurity that enveloped my mind when it came to inviting people to support the Kingdom and God's work through our ministry. However, in His infinite grace, God provided a generous support system that believed in me and the work I was doing. It's a testimony of divine providence that my ministry was always fully funded.
Economic Crisis
Nevertheless, the 2007/2008 economic crisis brought a new challenge. An email titled “SAVE FCA” sparked anxiety about finances and led me to delve deeper into the business and development side of the ministry. It was during this time that I stumbled upon a transformative concept—The 21 Irrefutable Laws Of Leadership by John Maxwell. The first law, the ‘Law Of Lid,’ struck a chord within me, stating “Leadership is the Lid that determines a person’s level of success”. This became a pivotal moment. I made a commitment to personal growth and development, embraced my role as a fundraiser, and realized that it was all about nurturing relationships and inviting people to support God's work.
